1961 Freedom Riders
I am studying and painting portraits of the 1961 Freedom Riders. These are true American heroes. Young people who rode the buses in states like Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana despite great personal danger to themselves. I invite you on this journey to explore these lives along with me.

Mask Portraits
When it became clear to me that mask wearing was imperative for protecting our health, I started painting anyone and everyone in a mask. I treat these portrait paintings like knitting, something to do with my hands while watching the TV. Please wear a mask.
